Order an Analysis
Please follow the below steps to order an analysis.

Follow Sample Collection Guidelines
We can only accept samples that are collected and prepared according to the Sample Collection Guidelines outlined in our Analysis Order Form.

Send Us an Email
Email metabolomics@calpoly.edu with a brief description of the samples you would like to submit. Enter CAL POLY MSC INQUIRY in the subject line of your email.

Order an Analysis
Once we have responded to your email, send your completed Analysis Order Form, along with documents detailing your sample prep procedures, to metabolomics@calpoly.edu.

Submit Your Samples
Print and sign the completed Sample Submission Checklist in our Analysis Order Form. Include the Checklist along with your samples in a secure package and mail them to the address below.

Before submitting samples for analysis
Please be advised that our turnaround time will be estimated based on order in queue and project size, and that the minimum number of samples we can accept is twelve. We can only accept samples that are collected and prepared according the Sample Collection Guidelines outlined in our Analysis Order Form. Please review these guidelines and email any questions to metabolomics@calpoly.edu.
Our per-sample cost for one analysis is dependent on client affiliation and funding source, as shown below:

If you are interested in having your samples analyzed by our lab, please email metabolomics@calpoly.edu with a brief description of the samples you would like to submit. For the subject line of your email, please enter CAL POLY MSC INQUIRY.
To place an order for sample analysis
After we have replied to your inquiry, you can order an analysis by completing our Analysis Order Form:
Please email your completed form, along with documents detailing your sample prep procedures, to metabolomics@calpoly.edu.
To submit samples after placing an order
Ensure that all samples are prepared for shipment according to the Sample Submission Checklist outlined in the Analysis Order Form. Print and sign your completed Checklist, and include it along with your samples in a secure package. Please be advised that samples will be immediately returned if they arrive with a missing or incomplete Checklist.
